       If deemed necessary, the applicant must show a Certificate of English Proficiency obtained from recognized institutions. Otherwise, he/she should complete nine (9) unites or 150 hours of English lessons from the University or from tutors/agencies recommended by the GPC prior to admission in any of the Graduate Programs.

A.2. English proficiency for Foreign Students

                All applicants should have finished a baccalaureate degree in the natural, biological, or medical-allied sciences. However, for the programs MS in Medical Technology and MS in Pharmacy, the student applicant should have finished the programs BS in Medical Technology/Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Science, and BS in Pharmacy, respectively should have passed the Licensure Examinations and a holder of a PRC License. For the PhD Biology program, the student should have finished MS degree in natural, biological or medical-allied sciences and he/she should submit a copy of his/her research publication(s). Graduates of non-thesis programs should have oral presentations/research publications to be admitted to the PhD graduate program.

               A student-applicant may be required to make up any deficiencies in his/her academic background for the various MS programs by enrolling in bridging courses in the undergraduate programs.

           Applicants should have no more than two (2) failures in the baccalaureate degree and should have an average grade of not less than 82.
