MASTER OF SCIENCE IN

PHARMACY

The Master of Science in Pharmacy (MS Pharm) program is a focused course providing continuing scientific training on the evolving field of pharmacy. It emphasizes the specific healthcare role of the pharmacist in the hospital and manufacturing sectors. It aims to increase the competence of graduate students by equipping them with the necessary experience and exposure, ensuring that they are capable of solving drug therapy or drug formulation problems that may arise.


The program has two existing areas of specialization, namely, Hospital Pharmacy and Manufacturing Pharmacy.

PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of the program, the MS Pharmacy graduates should be able to:

  1. Integrate knowledge of core scientific concepts of pharmacy utilized in basic and applied research in their area of specialization (i.e. hospital pharmacy or manufacturing pharmacy);

  2. Evaluate and integrate information from various scientific literature in the practice of Pharmacy;

  3. Share expertise and collaborate with other healthcare professionals through seminars, trainings, and workshops;

  4. Respond to the healthcare needs of the community by organizing pharmacy-related extension programs;

  5. Complete and publish an original research in their respective area of specialization, addressing current healthcare and societal needs.
